When shopping for a used car from Saturn, you'll notice there are two different distinctions of vehicles: Premium Certified and Certified.
You'll find these labels on the window sticker of each vehicle. The following explanations will help you understand the differences between the two.

This distinction is reserved for Saturn vehicles that are less than four model-years old with less than 60,000 miles. The following items are guaranteed on a Premium Certified Saturn vehicle:
- Has undergone a 150-plus-point inspection process
- All major vehicle systems operate correctly
- Tires have at least 4/32" of tread remaining
- Brake components have at least 50% of their useful life remaining
- Has undergone a road test conducted under varying driving conditions
- Battery, starting system and charging system have been tested
- Onboard computer has undergone thorough diagnostic check
- Chips, scratches and dings that affect durability, integrity and/or appearance have been repaired, based on the age and mileage of the vehicle
- Oil and oil filter have been changed
- The vehicle is thoroughly cleaned
- All necessary maintenance items have been performed
- Vehicle has a full tank of gas
In addition to this rigorous certification, a Premium Certified vehicle comes with:
- A 3-day/150-mile Money Back Guarantee (whichever comes first)
- At least a 12-month/12,000-mile warranty (whichever comes first)

Any make of vehicle sold by a Saturn retailer earns the Certified sticker once the following have been determined or conducted:
- All major vehicle systems operate correctly
- The engine performs properly under various driving conditions
- Tires have at least 4/32" of tread remaining
- Oil and filter change is completed
- Thorough interior and exterior cleaning is conducted
In addition to these qualifications, a Certified vehicle comes with:
- 3-day/150-mile Money Back Guarantee(whichever comes first)
- At least a 90-day/3,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty (whichever comes first)
